DMCC company setup in Dubai
Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) is a Dubai free zone. The UAE government portal says it covers JLT and Uptown Dubai and permits businesses in agro, tea, coffee, gold, diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, coloured gemstones, energy, water, tech, gaming, crypto, AI, e-commerce, financial services and others. You apply through DMCC. The same portal says a free zone licence is typically issued within 14 working days after review and approval. DMCC’s own setup packages are not copied onto this page.
What the portal actually says DMCC permits
Use this list as a shortlist, not as a promise that every wording is open today. The portal’s examples are agro, tea, coffee, gold, diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, coloured gemstones, energy, water, tech, gaming, crypto, AI, e-commerce and financial services, and it says there are more. The activity on the licence still has to match the invoices. Trading goods on the UAE mainland is a separate question, covered on mainland or free zone.
The portal also says DMCC allows a family office on the standard FZ-LLC structure. It can provide services to a family member, a family business, a family entity or a company limited by guarantee, and it can be owned by one or more individuals or by a corporate entity whose shareholders are of the same family. That is a DMCC fact. It is not a Golden Visa category.

Entity
u.ae lists FZE, FZ-LLC, FZ Co., a public limited company and a branch as free zone forms, and says the zone confirms which it registers. A DMCC family office, where that is the product, uses the FZ-LLC structure the portal describes.
Name
The name must fit the activity, carry the legal form and avoid restricted words. The portal points readers to DMCC’s restricted trade-name list. We check the current list rather than reprint it.
Licence and office
The portal says you can apply, pay and sign through the DMCC portal and then select the office solution. The price of that solution is DMCC’s. It is not printed here. Invest in Dubai is the government’s cost estimator for Dubai free zones.
