Meydan Free Zone company setup
Meydan is on the UAE government portal’s list of Dubai free zones. Dubai Law No. 5 of 2009 established Meydan City, a free zone in that city, and Meydan City Corporation, a public corporation owned by the Government of Dubai. Law No. 7 of 2024 keeps that structure: the corporation supervises Meydan. Meydan Free Zone’s website says the zone is in Meydan City and that meydanfz.ae is its official site. The portal does not give Meydan a sector list the way it does for DMCC, so this page does not invent one and does not print a package price.
What is established, and what is not claimed
Law No. 5 of 2009 established a city named Meydan City, a free zone in it, and Meydan City Corporation to own and manage the city. The corporation is wholly owned by the Government of Dubai. The 2024 amending law still describes the corporation as a public corporation wholly owned by the Government, with its head office in Meydan, supervising Meydan. Licensing is done by that free zone, not by DET.
Meydan’s website terms describe a company in the zone as a limited liability company or a branch. That is the wording in those terms. The zone still confirms the form it will register for your shareholders. u.ae’s wider list of free zone forms is the national description, and the zone can be narrower. We ask Meydan. We do not copy a visa-allocation price from a terms page that does not state a figure we are quoting.
An older line on our free zone overview grouped Meydan with other zones and a bundle of sectors. This page does not repeat that bundle as a Meydan-only fact. If the activity is e-commerce, consultancy or trading, use the activity page and then confirm Meydan permits it.
