UAE Golden Visa for Indian citizens
Indian citizens qualify for the UAE Golden Visa under exactly the same categories as every other nationality — there is no India-specific scheme. The most common routes for Indians are property worth AED 2 million (about ₹5.18 crore), a senior job paying at least AED 30,000 a month (about ₹7.78 lakh), business ownership, and outstanding-student results. ICP has confirmed that the reported “lifetime Golden Visa for AED 100,000” is false.

The “lifetime Golden Visa for AED 100,000” claim
In July 2025 reports in Indian media claimed Indians could buy a lifetime UAE Golden Visa through nomination for AED 100,000. ICP described these reports as false rumours, said all Golden Visa applications are handled only through official government channels inside the UAE, and warned people not to pay money or hand over documents to anyone claiming to sell one.
THAJ prepares documents and coordinates appointments; it does not sell visas or guarantee approval. Decisions belong to ICP, GDRFA and DLD.
Frequently asked questions
Can Indians get the UAE Golden Visa?
Yes. Indian citizens can apply under any Golden Residency category on the same terms as other nationalities.
How much is the UAE Golden Visa for Indians in rupees?
Dubai property investors pay AED 9,884.75 in DLD government fees, about ₹2.56 lakh at 26 October 2026 rates, on top of the AED 2 million (about ₹5.18 crore) property investment.
Is the AED 100,000 lifetime Golden Visa real?
No. ICP called it a false rumour in July 2025 and said Golden Visa applications go only through official UAE government channels.
Do I pay tax in India if I hold a UAE Golden Visa?
A UAE visa does not by itself change your Indian tax position; Indian residency rules depend on days in India and other tests. India and the UAE have a double taxation avoidance agreement. Speak to an Indian tax adviser. UAE tax residency is covered on our tax page.
Can I sponsor my parents from India?
Yes. ICP allows Golden Residency holders to sponsor parents. DLD asks for a consulate-certified dependency certificate, certified birth certificate and health insurance.
